Benchmark Administrative Support Services, Inc. was founded by Sharon Epple in 1986 and was one of the first woman-owned businesses to offer outsourced, computerized administrative support to business owners in the Baltimore region.
Up to this time, the administrative side of small business was implemented manually by hand. The introduction of personal computer technology created a big opportunity for businesses to streamline business operations through computerization and automation. Key business functions such as records keeping, communication, accounting, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and other functions could be implemented in a fraction of the time through computing, saving the business owner time and money.
Using this new technology, Benchmark provided business owners with options to improve their business operations without investing in staff, equipment, software, training, and management by outsourcing these key functions and responsibility to Benchmark. Since 1986, Benchmark has worked with numerous small- and medium-sized businesses in a wide variety of industries to help them establish and maintain accurate accounting systems.
Today, Benchmark is a thriving full-service bookkeeping and payroll firm located in Harford County, Maryland. Our team is experienced, highly skilled, and committed to providing our clients with the confidential, accurate, and efficient service our clients have come to expect. All bookkeeping and payroll services are performed at our office location by the Benchmark team.
